Apple continues to enhance the iPhone user experience with the recent release of iOS 26.1, a significant update following the original iOS 26 launch in September 2025. Rather than a massive overhaul, this update focuses on tuning user interface elements, boosting customization, and addressing longstanding usability concerns voiced by iPhone users worldwide.
At the forefront is the introduction of the Liquid Glass Transparency Toggle, a highly anticipated feature responding to mixed reviews about the striking Liquid Glass aesthetic unveiled in iOS 26. Users now have the ability to choose between the original “Clear” look, which offers extensive translucency, and a new “Tinted” mode, adding opacity to UI elements like buttons and notification panels.
