The latest beta update from Facebook-owned WhatsApp for its Android app has arrived and it indicates that it could soon bring support for animated sticker packs. WABetaInfo, a website that monitors updates to WhatsApp, found tracks that hint at the animated stickers in Android’s latest WhatsApp beta. The feature is not currently available but is expected to be released in the near future.
“All Stickers Packs got a server-side update from WhatsApp! Open WhatsApp > Chat > Stickers button > Plus icon and you see” UPDATE “for all packs you’ve previously downloaded. The reasons for the update are unclear. Maybe some improvements,” WABetaInfo tweeted on Friday.
WhatsApp is also working on a ‘ Disappearing Messages ‘ feature that has been spotted in Android’s latest beta version 2.19.275.
With the ‘Delete Messages’ feature, group administrators will be able to select a particular period for group messages, and it will be automatically deleted once a message reaches the specific duration. The new feature was initially expected to be available for both individual chats and group chats, but now the report claims the feature will be restricted to group chats only. The ‘Delete Messages’ feature for group chats will make handling of old messages and chats easy for admins.
